ExxonMobil to Farm-out Interest in Polish Shale Holdings

ExxonMobil Corporation is seeking partners for up to 49% of its interest in four shale gas concessions in south-eastern Poland.

Exxon Mobil, which will remain operator of the concessions, is planning an exploratory well in one of the concessions this month and has acquired seismic data for another. The total area of the concessions is about 1 million acres.

This does not indicate any shift in Exxon Mobil's interest in Polish shale gas opportunities," a spokesman for Exxon said in an email to Reuters. "We are continuing to evaluate the hydrocarbon resource potential in Poland."

Indigo Pool, a division of Schlumberger which provides advisory services for farmouts and divestitures is acting on behalf of ExxonMobil.

An online data room will open on 16 February.
