Fortum Boosts Uniper Board Presence
Three senior employees of Finnish state Fortum will join the supervisory board Uniper along with two other individuals, the German utility said April 17. The chairman and five members of the board left in early April with immediate effect, a few days after Fortum's acquisition of about 70% of the shares was concluded.
The new members are Klaus-Dieter Maubach, a deputy chairman of Fortum; Sirpa-Helena Sormunen, general counsel; and Tiina Tuomela, executive vice president of generation. The two others are Werner Brinker, independent energy consultant and Bernhard Günther, CFO of innogy Germany..
The five join Markus Rauramo, who is deputy chairman of the shareholder representatives of the supervisory board, and the six employee representatives: Harald Seegatz (deputy chairman of the employee representatives of the same board), Ingrid Asander, Oliver Biniek, Barbara Jagodzinski, André Muilwijk, and Immo Schlepper. This brings the board again to 12 members in total. A new chairperson is to be elected at a supervisory board meeting to be held shortly.
