Lancashire Evening Post: Fracking firm pledge on complaints

The energy firm behind fracking has promised to move surveying work further away from homes following complaints from residents.

Cuadrilla Resources has been carrying out a geo-physical survey of rock below parts of the countryside since March.

Workers have been detonating small charges in specially prepared holes to study the rock in more detail.

Company bosses reassured residents that no drilling or hydraulic fracturing - otherwise known as fracking - is taking place in the rock study.

However, a number of locals contacted Fylde MP Mark Menzies to raise concerns about noise and disturbance from the survey.  MORE
