French Engie Makes Board Changes

Engie has promoted Shankar Krishnamoorthy to its Paris based executive committee, as executive vice president in charge of its Tractebel subsidiary, as well as Engie's Strategy division, and Engie Solar.

His role also includes oversight of Engie's five so-called 'metiers': solutions for business; for homes and professionals; decentralised solutions for cities and territories; centralised production of electricity; and the gas-chain. An Indian national, Krishnamoorthy has nearly 20 years of experience at Engie. In 2014, he was named executive vice president for business development at the group’s International Energy Branch and moved to London. Since January 2016, he has been the managing director of the centralised generation division.

Another long-standing employee, Didier Holleaux, executive vice-president and member of the executive committee, will supervise the Elengy, GRDF, GRTgaz, Storengy, China, Asia-Pacific and GTT business units. He will succeed Sandra Lagumina who will leave on January 31. Holleaux will continue supervising the strategic sourcing and supply, the industrial projects oversight and support, and nuclear development divisions. Didier Holleaux, who has been at Engie for 23 years, will be based both in Paris and Singapore.

Engie CEO Isabelle Kocher thanked Sandra Lagumina for her contribution. In a statement January 9, she said: “The group’s 12-member executive management team will now be composed of five nationalities and benefit from strengthened operational expertise.”
