French Government Still Open to Shale Gas
French Industry and Energy Minister Eric Besson said on Wednesday that the French government hasn't shut the door on developing the shale gas industry in the country.
The government is evaluating the impact the industry would have on the environment, Besson said in a radio interview.
Total SA, Schuepbach Energy and GDF Suez are amongst companies interested in exploring for shale gas in different areas of France.
