Financial Times: Gas spat sparks fears for Egypt-Israel ties
The termination of a crucial gas supply contract between Israel and Egypt has caused alarm and dismay in Israel, heightening concern that the countries’ partnership is falling victim to the wave of turmoil sweeping the Arab world.
Both Israeli and Egyptian officials were engaged in damage limitation on Monday, insisting that the cancellation was a commercial dispute between private companies.
