Gasum delivers another LNG cargo to Inkoo terminal in Finland

Gasum, a Nordic energy company, has successfully delivered another LNG cargo to the Inkoo floating storage regasification unit (FSRU)-based LNG terminal in Finland, it said on January 10.

This cargo, approximately 800 GWh in size, was supplied by Gasum's new LNG trading partner, SEFE Marketing & Trading, a subsidiary of the German state-owned multinational energy company SEFE. The LNG originates from the US.

This delivery marks the fourth large LNG cargo that Gasum has supplied to the Inkoo FRSU since the Balticconnector gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia experienced a rupture and was shut down in early October. During the repair period of the pipeline, all Finnish natural gas demand needs to be met through LNG imports.

In addition to this recent delivery, Gasum has reserved another slot at the Inkoo FSRU for the latter part of the winter season. These two cargoes are expected to ensure that Gasum can meet the natural gas demand of its customers until spring 2024, it said.
