Novinite: Gazprom, Botas in Talks on Turkish Stream Gas Pipeline – Taner Yildiz
Turkey and Russia are in talks on the construction of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline meant to replace the scrapped South Stream gas pipeline project.
Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz made clear in an interview for the Sabah newspaper that talks between economic entities were underway in order to specify the route of the gas pipeline and the Black Sea section in particular, as well as the location of the gas hub.
Yildiz, as cited by the Trend News Agency, underscored that it was necessary to analyze all technical and economic parameters first, adding that Gazprom and Botas were involved in the process.
Turkey’s Energy Minister drew attention to the fact that the Turkish Pipeline project was not a rival to the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) project.
