Gazprom’s Vladivostok LNG Facility Behind Schedule
Gazprom’s Vladivostok LNG facility is at least a year behind schedule. The company has not yet postponed production start, which at the moment is set to begin in 2019, according to Bloomberg.
Last November, the company doubled investments in the plant to $13.5 billion and appointed Igor Krutikov as Director General of Gazprom LNG Vladivostok. The plant is supposed to support a 10 million metric ton-a year liquefaction capacity.
The facility is meant to deliver LNG to Japan, which is just one day away by ship.
The Asia-Pacific LNG market is the most receptive and fast growing in the world, with Japan being one of the major consumers there.
