NGE Notes: Miller and Boiko Discuss Gas Storage in Ukraine

Gazprom reported on today's working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Board and the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Yuriy Boyko.

The parties discussed issues related to the provision of the necessary volumes of gas into Ukrainian underground storage facilities and the implementation of transit obligations of Naftogaz Ukrainy in the coming autumn and winter.

In June 2012, Gazprom provided Naftogaz an advance payment on gas transit fees of $2 billion to provide Ukraine with necessary working capital for the purchase of gas for injection into underground storage facilities.

Gazprom reported that Miller and Boiko also discussed prospects for cooperation in gas sphere.
