Gazprom Pens 10-yr Gas Deal with Greek Firm
The export arm of Russia's Gazprom said on June 1 it had signed a new contract with Greek industrial conglomerate Mytilineos on gas supplies up until 2030.
"The co-operation between Gazprom Export and Mytilineos proves the demand for Russian gas in the Greek market and will further strengthen the interaction between our countries in the energy sector," Gazprom Export head Elena Burmistrova said in a statement.
Gazprom Export has been supplying Mytilineos with gas since 2017 and sold 588mn m3 to the company last year. Mytilineos is involved in gas and electricity trade, power generation and metallurgy, among other activities.
Gazprom's total sales to Greece came to 2.4bn m3 last year, down 26.7% compared with the level in 2018.
