Gazprom, Kazakhstan Discuss Gas Related Issues

Gazprom and Kazakhstan held talks last week related to issues of cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in the oil and gas sector.

Topics of discussion were: processing of raw materials from the Karachaganak gas and condensate field at the Orenburg GPP, transit of Kazakh gas via Russia to consumers in the CIS, Russian natural gas supplies to consumers of the Kostanay Region of Kazakhstan and transit of Central Asian gas via Kazakhstan.

The explored natural gas reserves of the Republic of Kazakhstan are currently estimated at 3.3 trillion cubic meters. The natural gas resources, including those offshore the Caspian Sea, are forecast at about 8 trillion cubic meters.
