Focus: Gazprom launches the construction of the overground section of South Stream in Bulgaria

Gazprom has officially launched the construction of the overground section of the South Stream pipeline in Bulgaria. According to Energy Minister Dragomir Stoynev, Gazprom will provide the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) a loan of €620 million against an interest rate of 4.25%, while the revenues for Bulgaria will amount to €2.8 billion over the next 30 years. The cost of the Bulgarian section is €3.5 billion, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller noted.  MORE
