Gazprom May Ink LNG Supply Deal With India This Year
Gazprom, the world’s largest natural gas producer, will sign a contract to supply liquefied natural gas to India this year, Bloomberg reported quoting Deputy Chairman Alexander Medvedev.
The price of gas supplied to the South Asian nation will be indexed to oil and the contract is in the final stages of preparation, Medvedev said.
Apart from India, Gazprom has been looking to supply gas to China as demand from Europe is expected to remain weak.
However, China has been more focused of gas supplies from Turkmenistan as gas prices from the central Asian nation are lower.
