Gazprom ramps up gas output by 16% in Jan-Oct
Russia's Gazprom increased gas production by 15.8% in the first 10 months of the year to 422.6bn m3, the company reported on November 1, amid strong demand for its supplies at home and overseas.
Exports to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States increased by 10.4% to 158.2bn m3, Gazprom said, noting that supplies to Turkey were up 110.4%, Germany 23.4%, Italy 15.4%, Romania 272.2%, Serbia 101.7%, Bulgaria 51.9%, Poland 9.5%, Greece 16.3% and Finland 13.6%.
Gazprom's deliveries to the domestic market increased by 17.2% to 196.2bn m3, while supplies to China are growing, the company said. It did not disclose figures for shipments to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline, but said that a daily record was reached on October 31, exceeding contractual obligations by over 19%.
