Gazprom resumes gas flow to Italy via Austria

Russia's Gazprom announced on October 5 it had resumed gas flow to Italy via Austria, after reaching an agreement with Italian buyers regarding Austrian regulatory changes introduced at the end of last month.

Italy has been receiving all its Russian gas through Austria, via the Tarvisio entry point at the two countries' shared border, since the closure of the Nord Stream 1 pipeline at the end of August. Italy's Eni reported on October 1 that it would receive no Russian gas that day via Tarvisio.
