Gazprom Signs Co-op Pacts on Exploration
Russia’s Gazprom has entered into co-operation pacts with several foreign and domestic partners in the field of hydrocarbon exploration and development, it said on October 3.
Gazprom’s exploration arm Gazprom Nedra [Subsoil] reached the agreements with state geological surveyor Rosgeologia and other local firms Bashneftegeofizika and MashOil, as well as US groups Schlumberger and Halliburton and Germany’s Wintershall DEA. The documents were signed on October 1 and October 2 at the St Petersburg International Gas Forum, the company announced at the event.
The involved parties will co-operate in enhancing exploration efficiency and providing field services in Russia and several countries in southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Gazprom set up Gazprom Nedra in September, merging the operations of its exploration-focused subsidiaries Gazprom Geologorazvedka and Gazprom Georesurs.
