Gazprom Taps VTB Loan for Amur Gas Complex: Press
Russian state bank VTB has agreed to provide national gas company Gazprom with a credit line worth €4bn ($4.45bn) to cover ongoing construction of the Amur gas processing plant (GPP) in the Far East, the lender’s CEO Andrey Kostin said on October 24.
VTB is providing the funds as part of a syndicate agreement, he told reporters at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona, according to the Moscow-based Prime news agency.
Construction of the Amur GPP has been underway since October 2015. The project, which will process Eastern Siberian gas on route to China, is due on stream in April 2021 and is expected to reach its full 42bn m3/yr capacity n 2024. Its total cost is estimated at rubles 950bn ($14.9bn).
