Gazprom's Exports Up 12% Jan-June
Russian giant Gazprom’s exports to non-CIS countries grew by 11.3bn m³ (or by 12.3%) in 1H17 year-on-year, it said. Buyers received 102.9bn m³ of gas. Supplies to the countries of northwest and central Europe rose the most: for example, Germany took 16.7% more; Austria, 77.2% more; the Czech Republic 24.8% more; and Slovakia 25.8% more,” it said.
With the cap on capacity still in place on Opal, Ukraine's gas transporter has said it has transported more Russian gas so far this year than before, often having to respond to sharp variations in flows from the east.
Gazprom also said that from January 1 to July 15, 2017, the company produced 248.8bn m³ of gas, about 39.3bn m³ (or 18.8%) more than in the same period last year. About 16bn m³ of that was produced in 15 days of July.
