Gentari teams up with Keppel, Sembcorp for clean energy

Malaysia’s Gentari, a clean energy solutions provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based Keppel's infrastructure division to explore sustainability-related opportunities, it said on July 6.

The MoU was signed during the Energy Asia conference in Kuala Lumpur, where industry leaders and policymakers gathered to advance Asia's net zero ambitions.

The MoU aims to unlock synergies in renewable and low-carbon energy projects, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and roaming. It also intends to build economies of scale, facilitate mutual market access, and enable capability development. The parties will explore potential collaboration in energy-as-a-service opportunities, including energy efficiency and energy management projects.

Gentari has also signed an MoU with Sembcorp Industries to jointly explore potential collaborations and related business activities in the field of clean energy solutions.

Under the MoU, Gentari and Sembcorp will jointly explore potential areas of collaboration in clean energy solutions, including renewable energy and low-carbon hydrogen.
