Voice of Russia: Berlin to support interests of German business on South Stream project
The German government will protect the interests of the German business regarding the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline and expects that all problems associated with it will be successfully solved.
"There is an objection on the part of the European Commission in respect of the tender in one country (in Bulgaria). I think that this issue is being addressed at the appropriate level. But, of course, it is true that supporting German companies is an important task of our government, and this is also my personal goal – the goal that we, diplomats, must accomplish," German Ambassador to Russia Ruediger von Fritsch said in an interview with Interfax.
The German company Wintershall is engaged in the South Stream construction.
