GPS Renewables to develop multiple CBG plants in India
Bengaluru-based GPS Renewables, a technology firm in the clean fuels sector, on December 26 announced contract acquisitions totalling 20bn rupees ($240mn) for multiple compressed biogas (CBG) projects in India.
The projects, set to process 4,000 tonnes/day of agricultural residue and energy crops, along with 300 tonnes/day of municipal solid waste, are expected to generate a minimum daily output of 350 tonnes of CBG.
In the fiscal year ending March 2023, GPS Renewables reported a turnover of 1.53bn rupees, with projections aiming to exceed 5bn rupees in the fiscal year ending March 2024.
Specialising in technology and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions, the company is actively involved in project development for bio-CNG, ethanol, and green hydrogen.
