Green Dragon Gas Signs Gas Supply Deal With Sinopec Affiliate

Green Dragon Gas, China’s largest independent coal bed methane (CBM) gas company, has signed a gas sales agreement with Shanxi Guohua Energy Company Limited, a joint venture between Shanxi International Energy Group and Sinopec.

The company on Tuesday said that the gas will be supplied from its Shizhuang South and North blocks, in Shanxi Province.

The agreement is separate and in addition to the existing 20-year offtake agreement with PetroChina Huabei Oilfield Company Limited, Green Dragon said.

Gas supply is expected to commence between December 31, 2014 and May 30, 2015, and the agreement will be valid until December 31, 2025.
