GSPL Signs Gas Supply Deal in India

GSPL India Transco Ltd (GITL), a subsidiary of Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (GSPL), will supply 2 million metric standard cubic metres per day (MMSCMD) of natural gas to Ramagundam Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (RFCL).

The parties signed a 20-year gas transportation agreement, Businessline, an Indian financial daily, reported Monday.

As per the agreement, GITL would transport about 2 MMSCMD of natural gas from Mallavaram field in the state of Andhra Pradesh to RFCL’s plant at Ramagundam in the neighbouring state of Telangana through the 1,81-km-long Mallavaram-Bhopal- Bhilwara-Vijaipur gas pipeline being developed by GITL.

GITL has been authorised to develop MBBVPL by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).

RFCL is a joint venture company formed by National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL), Engineers India Ltd (EIL) and Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd (FCIL) to develop fertiliser plants to produce ammonia and urea at Ramagundam.
