Halliburton lands Malaysian contract
US-based upstream services company Halliburton said August 10 it secured a contract from Sapura Energy for work in Malaysia.
For undisclosed terms, Halliburton said it secured a six-well offshore well construction contract from Sapura Drilling, a subsidiary of Sapura Energy. The work is in collaboration with Malaysian state energy company Petronas.

Sapura in July secured contract extensions in Malaysia and Thailand worth a combined $280mn.
Halliburton reported total revenue for the second quarter of $3.7bn, only a slight improvement from the $3.5bn realised during Q1 2021. Of that, $925mn came from operations in the Middle East and Asia, a 5% improvement over Q1.
