Henry Hub moves above $5.00/mn Btu

The December gas delivery contract at the US Henry Hub moved back above the $5.00/mn Btu threshold early in the November 16 session.

The contract hit $5.17/mn Btu on 12:22 GMT, up nearly 3% so far in the trading day. That followed a rally of 4.7% the previous day.

The move came as Dutch TTF prices in the European market ticked sharply higher. According to the Bloomberg news service, European prices spiked on reports that Germany suspended the certification process for the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline.

That pipeline would send additional Russian gas to the European market.
