Bloomberg: Dutch Court to Rule on Gas Output From Europe’s Biggest Field

A Dutch court will on Tuesday announce its decision on whether natural gas production at the Groningen field, Europe’s biggest, has to be cut after earthquakes damaged buildings in the nation’s most northern province.

The president of the Administrative Division of the Council of State will make a temporary decision after two out of 40 claimants asked for an accelerated motion on the case at 2 p.m. Amsterdam time, according to a statement on the court’s website. The hearing was held in The Hague on April 1, when the judge said he didn’t intend to order a complete production halt.
