Ichthys LNG Finalizes Supply Deal with CPC Corp, Chubu Electric, Toho Gas

Australia’s Ichthys LNG project has finalized a long-term supply deal with CPC Corp, Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas.

The proposed Ichthys project, off the coast of Australia's Northern Territory, is being jointly developed by Inpex and Total.

Inpex and Total have also agreed to sell LNG from the project to another five Japanese utilities and are close to making a final investment decision on the project's construction.

Last year, Inpex agreed to sell to CPC 1.75 million metric tons a year of LNG from the project for 15 years starting 2017. It also agreed to sell Chubu Electric 490,000 tons a year and Toho 280,000 tons.
