India Sees Shale Gas Auctions late 2013

India is targeting by the end of 2013 as an expected launch of its auction of shale gas blocks.

‘We want to start the first round by end-2013,”  commented Oil Secretary G.C. Chaturvedi.

"We will complete mapping by March and in the next three to six months, we will have the policy in place," Mr. Chaturvedi said.
