India, UAE Discuss Further Energy Cooperation
India and United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 17 discussed ways to cooperate in the field of energy including hydrogen.
CEO of state-owned Adnoc Ahmed Al Jaber met with Indian petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan virtually to discuss expanding partnerships in petrochemicals, logistics, and services and explore collaboration in new areas, including hydrogen, Adnoc said on Twitter.

Pradhan said he had good discussions with Al Jaber on further strengthening and providing greater momentum to the bilateral strategic energy partnership. Al Jaber is also UAE's minister of industry and advanced technology.
“Discussed about new areas of cooperation in the hydrocarbon sector and beyond and agreed to remain committed despite the challenges presented by Covid pandemic,” Pradhan said on Twitter.
UAE is one of the major oil suppliers to India and a partner in an Indian joint venture that proposed to build a 1.2mn barrels/day refining and petrochemical complex on the country’s west coast.
