India's December Gas Output Up
India’s gross production of natural gas in December was 2.86bn m3, up 4.2% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, according to data published January 22 by the Indian oil ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC).
During the first nine months of the present financial year that began April 1, cumulative gross production of natural gas was down 0.2% year-on-year to 24.65bn m3.
India’s gas consumption in December was 4.92bn m3 compared with 4.7bn m3 in the same period of previous year, an increase of 4.7%. During April-December period total gas consumption was 44.76bn m3, up 3.5% year-on-year, the data showed.
