India's LNG imports down 17% in June
India’s LNG imports in June came in at 2.31bn m3 of pipeline equivalent (about 1.7mn metric tons), down 17.3% year/year, the Indian oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) website showed on July 20. Imports were down 11% month/month.
During the first three months of the financial year 2021-22, imports were 7.57bn m3, up 8% yr/yr.

LNG imports in June cost some $700mn, up from $500mn in the same month last year. In the April-June period, the import bill was $2.2bn compared with $1.4bn in the year-ago period, PPAC data showed.
In the financial year 2020-21, the import bill was $7.4bn, down from $9.5bn a year, the PPAC data showed.
