India's UltraTech Cement deploys LNG-fuelled trucks at Pune terminal
Mumbai-based logistics company GreenLine has deployed its LNG-fuelled trucks at cement major UltraTech Cement’s bulk terminal in Pune in the state of Maharashtra, the company announced on April 9 on LinkedIn.
“It gives me immense pride to witness the successful flag off of our LNG-fueled trucks with UltraTech Cement. This is the second deployment of our LNG-fuelled trucks at UltraTech which goes on to highlight the power of GreenLine's green mobility solution,” GreenLine CEO Anand Mimani said.
“We remain committed to driving the shift towards greener and cleaner road logistics, and partnering with like-minded organizations such as UltraTech Cement fuels our determination to achieve this goal. Let's continue working towards a sustainable future,” he added.
Ultratech recently deployed a fleet of LNG-powered trucks at its Awarpur Cement Works near Nagpur.
GreenLine aims to expand its fleet of LNG-fuelled trucks and plans to deploy 1,650 LNG trucks by March 2024, Mimani told GasPathways earlier this month. The company currently has an operational fleet of 40 LNG-powered trucks across India.
