Indonesia Opens Tender for 18 Oil, Gas Blocks

Indonesia has opened the first round of auctions for 18 oil and gas blocks located mostly in the eastern part of the country, according to Antara News Agency. 

Sixteen of the blocks are being offered through direct bids and two through regular tenders, the news agency reported citing statement by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas. 

Bid documents for the regular tender are open to bidders from Sept. 16, 2013, to Jan. 27, 2014, and participation documents must be submitted before Jan. 27, 2014.

Bidders can claim documents in the direct tender from Sept. 16 to Oct. 30 this year, and participation documents must be submitted before Oct. 31, 2013.
