Indonesia's PTBA to Start Producing CBM
Indonesia’s state-owned coal miner Bukit Asam also known as PTBA, aims to produce up to 40 million standard cubic feet per day of coal bed methane next year, Investor Daily quoted its president director, Milawarma, as saying.
Company’s CBM project at its mining site in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra has reached the preparation stage, Milawarma said.
The gas produced will to fed to utility company Perusahaan Listrik Negara but no formal deal has been signed yet, Investor Daily reported.
PTBA has joined forces with Pertamina Hulu Energi, a subsidiary of state energy company Pertamina and Dart Energy, an Australian oil and gas company for the project.
