Indonesia's South Sembakung Field to Start Later This Year
Medco E&P Indonesia, a subsidiary of Medco Energi Internasional, expects South Sembakung field at Simenggaris Block, East Kalimantan to start producing five mmscfd of gas by third quarter of this year.
By 2014-2015, the volume is likley to rise to 25 mmscfd.
The gas will be sold to independent power producers which develop power plants for distributing electricity to Methanol Bunyu refinery.
