Inpex to help decarbonise Isesaki City

Isesaki City, gas utility Isesaki Gas Co., and energy firm Inpex Corporation announced on October 26 that they will be working together to promote decarbonisation in Isesaki City, Japan.

The three parties will focus on promoting local production and consumption of renewable energy, as well as procuring and supplying low-carbon energy to public facilities.

Isesaki City has been actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within its jurisdiction and administrative activities. Inpex, on the other hand, is working to make its oil and natural gas business cleaner as outlined in its Inpex Vision @2022.

In a statement, Inpex said that it will work closely with city gas business operators to which it supplies wholesale natural gas and implement measures contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases.
