Inpex to supply carbon-neutral gas to Saitama Gas

Japanese energy company Inpex Corp on December 24 said it will supply carbon-neutral gas to city gas company Saitama Gas.

“Given the requirement for greenhouse gas emissions reductions on a global scale, Saitama Gas will take the opportunity of this shift to carbon-neutral gas consumption to continue working with the local community and create a more environmentally friendly society in order to fulfill its social responsibility as an energy supplier,” Inpex said. Saitama Gas will use carbon-neutral gas in its offices and facilities.

Inpex said it will work closely with city gas business operators to which it supplies wholesale natural gas and implement measures contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases.
