Iran Earned $3.5 bn From Gas Exports

Iran exported natural gas worth $3.5 billion during the last Iranian calendar year which ended on March 20, 2013.

“The volume of last year’s natural gas exports stood at 8.4 billion cubic meters (bcm) while 4.5 bcm was imported,” Javad Owji, managing director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), said on Friday on the sidelines of Tehran Oil and Gas Show, Press TV reported.

Last year's exports were same as that of previous year but imports declined by 50 percent.
