Iran-Iraq Gas Pipeline to Be Complete in 2014
The proposed natural gas pipeline from Iran to Iraq is expected to be complete by 2014, Iran's Oil Minister Rostam Ghasemi has said.
Last year, Iran and Iraq signed an agreement that sends 25 million cubic meters of gas from the Western province of Ilam to the al-mansoureh and Baghdad power plants for fuel.
Meanwhile, Trend News has reported quoting Ghasemi that necessary permit for transporting gas from Turkey to Europe had been issued.
Iran, which sits on the world's second largest natural gas reserves, is making efforts to boost its gas production by increasing foreign and domestic investments, especially in its South Pars gas field.
