Iran May Boost Gas Exports to Pakistan

Iran may increase gas exports to Pakistan to the level of 30 million cubic meters per day.

Speaking to Shana news agency, Iran’s deputy minister of petroleum for gas, Javad Oji, said the two sides have started talks and in case of reaching an agreement, they will draft it in the form of an annexation.

He noted that seventh Iran’s gas trunk line that is scheduled to carry Iran’s gas to Pakistan, is under construction in Iran and Pakistan.

On Monday, Iran and Pakistan officially opened the construction phase of Pakistan side of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline. The pipeline is expected to be complete in 15 months.
