Press TV: Iran ready to supply natural gas to Europe
Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh says the Islamic Republic is ready to supply European countries with natural gas.
“As a country that has the capacity to supply gas in large volumes, Iran is always willing to export natural gas to Europe via pipeline or in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG),” Zanganeh said on Saturday.
Regardless of the gas supply issues between the EU and Russia over the Ukrainian crisis, the Europeans are willing to diversify their sources of energy, he pointed out.
Zanganeh further noted that development of different phases of South Pars gas field will allow Iran to increase its natural gas exports from the next Iranian calendar year, beginning in March 2015.
