Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Operational by 2013
A natural gas pipeline to supply Iranian gas to Pakistan is expected to become operational by 2013.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the construction of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, stretching from Iran's South Pars gas field to Pakistan, is underway and is likely to be completed by 2013.
Pakistan's Petroleum Minister, Dr. Asim Hussain confirmed that the gas pipeline project will be completed by 2012, two years ahead of schedule.
Iran plans to export up to 21 million cubic meters of natural gas through the pipeline to Pakistan annually.
