Iran's Gas Export Revenue to Hit $14 bn by 2015

Iran’s revenue from gas exports will hit $14 billion by the end of fifth five year development plan in 2015.

Financial manager of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Piroz Monjezi, said currently the company exports 8 billion cubic meters of gas annually, Shana news reported.

With regard to recent agreements with some neighbouring countries including Pakistan, Iraq and Persian Gulf countries, Iran’s volume of gas exports will rise to 35 billion cubic meters per year, NIGC’s official noted.  

He stated that the company had various projects under way including construction of 11th gas trunk line which not only would reinforce domestic infrastructures but would boost gas exports.
