Japanese LNG imports up 1% in August

Japanese LNG imports in August totalled 5.73mn tonnes, up 1% compared to the same period last year, according to provisional data released by Japan's finance ministry on September 18. The imports were up over 2% compared to the previous month.

The cost of LNG imports in August amounted to 542.46bn yen ($3.83bn), up 8.3% compared to the same period last year.
