Japan's April LNG Imports Up a Tad

Japan’s LNG imports in April stood at 5.62mn metric tons, up 0.3% year-on-year, according to the provisional data released by country’s finance ministry May 22.

April imports were, however, lower month-on-month. In March 2019, Japan imported 7.29mn mt of LNG. 

Japan is the world’s biggest LNG importer.
