Japan's Feb LNG Imports Drop by a Tenth

Japan’s LNG imports in February stood at 6.64mn metric tons, down 9.6% yr/yr according to the provisional data released by the country’s finance ministry on March 18.

Imports were down month-on-month as well from 7.51mn mt in January. Japan remains the world's biggest LNG importer. Last year, the country's LNG imports were 77.32mn mt, down 6.7% on 2018.
