Japan's February LNG Imports Up on Year

Japan’s LNG imports were up 6.5% year on year in February after witnessing a 0.5% year on year decline in January, provisional data published by country’s finance ministry March 19 revealed.

The world’s biggest LNG buyer imported 8.29mn metric tons of LNG last month. Last year, Japan’s LNG imports were 83.63mn metric tons, up 0.4% year on year, ahead of China which last year overtook South Korea.
