Japan's LNG Imports Drop in May

Japan’s LNG imports in May stood at 5.56mn metric tons, down 13.1% year-on-year, according to the provisional data released by country’s finance ministry June 19.

May imports were lower month-on-month as well. In April, Japan imported 5.62mn mt of LNG. Japan is the world’s biggest LNG importer.
