Japan's LNG imports jump 10% in July

Japanese LNG imports in July totalled 5.61mn tonnes, up 10.4% compared to the same period last year, according to provisional data released by Japan's finance ministry on August 21. The imports were up over 23% compared to the previous month.

The cost of LNG imports in July amounted to 538.6bn yen ($3.7bn), a 19.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
